Got up for work about an hr ago and got on RS to skim latest posts. One hour later I have read this entire thing. Thanks for the distraction, lol.

Great story. I have been doing this for over 2 years now and learned alot more about chemistry, cycling, etc. I did not know that ph changes in morning vs evening. I always test mine about 5pm when I come home so I have not noticed any major changes on a daily basis except when something is out of whack. I am going to get a perm. ph monitor to watch it more closely.

Beautiful tank. One thing I noticed in this story though was that you started out very cautious (only going to add one item per week) and then like the rest of us, became addicted and seemed to add 2-3 things a week at times, lol.
