Thank about the advice, the sandbed is only 1-2 inches which I knew would be too shallow, but I will add some more in the near future.Should I get some larger grain sand to mix?And a sandbed that deep won't lock in nitrates will it?

Are you sure about the fungia? I have had it there for a month and it is always huge. I moved it when somebody else told me they do better in the sandbed and it didn't seem as happy.
