Hi Chris,
The kits I've been using for years are Micro-Mesh kits, you can get them at www.micro-surface.com and look for kit # nc-78-1, should run ~$40 or so.

ETR sent me one of their Everclear kits, looks very good - just haven't had the time to play with it yet but they can be found at Everclear Transparency Refurbishing Inc. They have actually been easy to deal with and I really should try their kit out, maybe this weekend I'll give it a shot.

There are other kits available that seemed to me to be scaled down versions of the Micro-Mesh kit and not with as many grades of cloth so I *personally* wouldn't bother with them.

You can also use Novus 2 for minor surface abrasions on the outside. There are many other products you can use like buffing wheels - just be careful.

No matter what though, don't use anything with alcohols or any other solvents in them = bad for acrylic

FWIW, the Micro-Mesh kit noted above is perfectly safe to use in a fully stocked tank, tedious but very good and very reef-safe.

HTH,
James
