That is basically my question... Thanks. I didn't think of swimming room thugh. I was of the impression that the stocking limit was for waste control, but I guess that swimming room is in there too.
Sometimes I'm a bit of an idiot, I have a fresh tank and had to pass on a koi that I acquired "as a feeder" to start the tank. it outgrew the space but the filters handle the bio load from him and the other fish easily.
