Hello all, I have been reef keeping for 4 years now, I started with freshwater for about 14years and moved to saltwater and love it.
I am having some problems with my skimmer. I just purchased a Octo NW 150 and it is in about 9 to 10 inches of water. The collection cup fills up in about 1 to 2 minutes with a mix of water and foam. I don't know much about skimmers. Do they need to be broke in? How long does it take if so? And how much water should I keep it in? I have the sump under my show tank and there is no more room to raise it.
