Re: HMA’s 115 gal. Reef Tank

The low nutrient concerns exclusively the Zooxanthelles of the anemone, not the anemone itself. Because the anemone can receive no sufficient amount of sugar from the Zooxanthelles, it pushes off most of the Zooxanthelles. The Zooxanthelles do not find any more enough food there PO4 and NO2 / 3 as a nutrient in the water is absent. That's why they can also not supply the coral any more enough with sugar. The anemone goes over again and takes up increasingly food about her tentacles and mouth. In the early stage I support that a little with mussels or shrimps. In the anemone some Zooxanthelles will settle during the next weeks again, indeed substantially less than before. Their colour will thereby remain bright ones. There will not be other consequences. BTW, this process is normal for all users of the Zeovit method.
