My understanding is that they lose their bulbs in captivity for unknown reasons. Some say feeding them will bring back the bulbs, others say not feeding them will bring back the bulbs. I don't think anyone really knows for sure.

That is a big anemone though. Has it split at all in the 6 years you have had it in your tank?
