Hi Sarah, is it really a pyramid snail or what I suppose rather, a Sundial? Pyramid Snails, or Pyrams are very small snails. They are generally white in color, have a slender shell that tapers to a point, and do not grow larger than a few millimeters. Sundial snails have a classic shaped shell that is round at the base and twists upward into a point and have a tan and brown coloration. Pyramid snails living on Tridacnia clams and Sundial snails on Zoanthus, Palythoa and Protopalythoa. Both can develop to a plague and it is better to remove them.
