Foraminiferans are tiny organisms mostly visible with a microscope. Like I said before, it's deposits of coraline algae. It looks exactly like the picture I just posted but hot pink and smaller. There are giant beds of it around Ireland. It's found in giants sub-tidal beds along the wesr coast of Ireland and is very rare.

I've had a sw tank for 3 years and I know what normal coraline algae looks like. The "trees" are structures growing on the rocks, not tiny organisms.
