ok, update! i am not going with the new canopy and stand. i don't like the look of it, and the canopy is not conducive to the type of lighting i want.. even if i were to retrofit the lights, there is no way to fit what i want in there.... the canopy is one of those, where half of the canopy lifts up so its easier access to the tank. and ultimately if i don't like the look of it, why spend the money on it...

soooo, i am going to buy a new tank.. just the tank, and keep my stand, i like the black. and the new tank will be .. well... new! no scratches clean! i will have to repaint.. o well.. minor set back. then get the lighting system i was going to originally go with, the Tek-Lights with 8 T-5 bulbs. i need help with the bulbs though. i don't know what to get. i am getting the Giesemann aquablue and the actinic plus, and then i thought the Hamilton 14000K... but thats all i have! what else? i will post a separate post too about this! :P
