So, the cycle is moving along rather quickly. Probably due to me using the bio wheels and pre cured live rock. I have lost probably 2 or 3 gallons of water due to evaporation and the skimmer, but I'm going to let it go for today. Also no water changes done yet.
Here are tonights readings:
Temp: 76 (a little cool)
Salinity: 1.022 (need to bring up a little)
PH: 8.4 ( right on track)
Alkalinity: 1.7 - 2.8 (yesterdays readings were faulty. Didn't do test right)
Amonia: 0 (wow, already)
Nitrite: .05 ( a little concerning)
Nitrate: 5.0 (good sign)
Here are some tank shots. Notice all clear now that the sand has settled. Only thing is, my rocks seem more white than they really are due to sand settleing on them. I'm guessing once I add some power heads it should be ok. Just hope it doesn't kill the alage growing on them.
