Re: Who has a frag tank and why?

I have a 10g Frag tank. It's got 130W fixture over it.

The reason: Well I started in this hobby with that tank. Then I finally upgraded to my 90g set-up. Initially I had planned to take the 10g down when the 90g was "functional" but then decided to use it as a grow-out/frag tank. Once I added the 130w light fixture my corals took off like crazy. So I figured "Make hay while the sun is shining".

Started out like this..

then grew into this...

I need to get some more recent pics... maybe after my weekly water change (tomorrow night) I'll try to take some recent pics.

Live Rock Rubble will do the SAME thing as Bio-Balls and is NOT a suitable replacement for BIO-BALLS in a Reef System! It's ALL gotta go!!

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
