You do not need a Ca reactor if you can maintain Ca levels with additives and/or water changes. A Ca reactor becomes necessary when the uptake of Ca by your tanks inhabitants exceeds your ability to supplement.
Injecting CO2 directly into your tank will be deadly for your tanks inhabitants as it will decrease the pH to dangerous levels as well as cause a massive algae outbreak. |
