| Re: Feeding Question Well I occasionally (maybe a few times a week) target feed my emerald crab and coral banded shrimp with a small chunk of shrimp each. I use a wooden shish-cabob skewer to do this primarily because it is fun. I only give them basically what they can put in their mouth. The emerald crab eats tank junk 24/7 so it hasn't affected his appetite. I don't know what the CBS eats, but he usually comes running for the shrimp.
There is not much leftover food in my tank. I place a small bit of mysis on a tablespoon, add some tank water and wait for it to sink in the spoon then I release it bit-by-bit into the tank near the power head and watch as the fish eat it up before it hits the bottom. The hermit crabs still seem to find enough junk to eat on the bottom though and the snails are doing fine with the algae. |
