You wouldn't need both. Besides, you would have many problems trying to figure out which unit was causing the pH problem. A calcium reactor rated for your tank size and properly dialed in, would be all you would need. If you found the need to add calcium after it has reached maximum performance, I guess you could just drip Kalk.
There are a lot of variables. Your load will always dictate your consumption rate. Its a matter of supply and demand and I have yet to hear of a calcium reactor not being able to meet the demand, because its output is adjustable. |
