I have a remora HOB on my 40g and used it on my 50g also. I dont know if its rated for your size tank I would have to look. It doesnt really use an over flow but you can purchase one for extra, its called a surface skimmer I think. Basically it does three things:

1) The pump is gray so it can be seen against a black background and the box is black so it blends in and hides the pump.

2) It has a sponge on the return side to get rid of microbubbles.

3) It skims the surface.
