I had my 36"x36"x24" cube made from 3/4" acrylic to prevent this.
I also recommend using cell-cast acrylic... IIRC it doesn't absorb as much water as extruded, and it's also stronger. |
Just to add, cell cast also handles stresses much better than extruded, ie., extruded will craze long before cast as it . Crazing *can* (if bad enough) lead to material failure.
