Yeah, every time an ant peed when my sump was new I'd run to the tankl and throw open the door.
As for The sump overflowing, just keep the water level lower in it so when the return pump shuts off the water in the overflow and pipe will top it off, not overflow it. As for leaks, Just keep a close eye on it for the first wile.
