Only if calcium, phosphorus and alkalinity affect fish health. During the past week I have also added Phosban to the filtration as well as liquid calcium, strontium and carbonate as they were low. Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonia were already at 0. pH was at 8.2 last week and the temperature hasn't changed. I will be testing the water again shortly (today) and post the new water chemistry.
Water 1 week ago:
Temp. 80.7
pH 8.2
Saline 1.024
Ammon. 0 - 0.25
Nitrite, Nitrate = 0
Calcium 280 (low)
Alk = 7dkh
Water today:
Temp. 80.7
pH 7.9
Saline 1.024
Ammon. 0.3 (diatoms being destroyed by phosban)
Nitrite, Nitrate = 0
Calcium 350 (still a little low, but better)
Alk = 7dkh (still needs to go up)
I think it might be the medicine, but who knows. Maybe it just needed a couple weeks to run it's coarse?
