| Re: Akwar'eum Yesterday was tank cleaning day. I equalized the makeup water chemistry to the tank water and changed 12 gallons in my 120g system. For six hours after that my fromia starfish didn't move a muscle. I thought I had killed him somehow. Then, almost as if waking up from a nap, he started slowly moving again and seems just fine this morning. I really like that guy and am glad I didn't kill him.
On another note, I am having a dickens of a time keeping my ph up. It stays fairly constant though and that's good, but it goes between 7.9 and 8.1. My kalk tower is supposed to keep the ph up but hasn't been doing it lately (three weeks). It does have calcium hydroxide in it. I add the two part alk/calc supplement daily also. It's a little worrysome how it stays so low. If anyone can think of something to try let me know.
