I had two towers in my 85 gallon with four thin stilts supporting each. Plenty of flow and no dead spots, and a favorite sleeping spot for my tangs. Had additional rock arches in the middle of my tank. In addition, the return from my sump, 300 GPH, was plumbed to shoot along the back of the glass and keep it very clean.
