I can't read the drawing so what is the size of the drain pipe(s) to the sump? Are you planning on an IN sump pump or an external one? How many gallons will the sump be?

For the closed loop, I think it's simply a matter of figuring out how many GPH flow you want in your tank and buy a pump that does that.
