Boozes idea for the return from the sump will get you up and going with the drain-fuge-sump-return part.

If you would still like to do a CL then I would think it would be easy enough to do with holes drilled in the bottom. I'm not sure I would do that though because I'm a proponent for having a sump/fuge as big as you can get. That wouldn't leave any room under the tank for the CL pump and plumbing.

In this case, I would recommend getting a couple Vortec circulating pumps for in the tank. These pumps are expensive but, imho, well worth it. Get the wireless control modules for them too and they will act as a wave maker. They take up VERY little room inside the tank too.

I have one in my tank and I really want to add another but I have to save my pennies first. You can see what it looks like in my chronicle.
