Hey, I hear ya! On both counts! Are you enjoying both your tank project and the new house? Cuz that's the goal, right?! I wish I had more knowledge and could offer experiences, but I'm in the same place as you... maybe two steps ahead because I have my tank already. Now, I'm figuring out the plumbing after a major switch in plans... and I'll be DIY'ing my lights starting tonight, assuming the kits arrive today as they're supposed to.

Good luck on your decisions, and try not to over-think things too much. Sometimes the simple solution can be the best one! I've found that I tend to go back to what my first thoughts were, in any case.
