| Re: Triggerjays new 125g Build thread Actually, I am glad you brought up my skimmer in the sump. I DO NOT have any partitions in the sump, and my sump is where evaporation shows in the water level. I get fluctuation in water levels in the sump, and have to play with my skimmer due to the changing water level way too often. If I had of baffled it, it would have solved the problem, but since I did not do so, I am going to put a 20g tank inside the sump, under all the drains. The 20g tank will fill to the top and overflow, giving me an area in the sump of constant water level. I will then place my skimmer inside the 20g tank, and hopefully set it one last time, and be able to leave it alone. If you locate your skimmer in the sump, make sure it has a constant water level. It will save you lots of headaches. BTW, I read an article on making a pod factory, so you have a constant supply of pods for your mandarin, but I can't find the link. If I find it again, I will post it. It was basically a 5g bucket, with rows of filter media in it, with a HOB filter. It was a simple setup, and all you had to do was take one of the filter pads out at a time, and shake the pods off of them into the tank, and replace the filter pad in the bucket. The guy started his bucket of pods by putting one of the filter pads in a pod ruch enviornment for a couple days, and then putting it in the bucket. Then the pods reproduced without any predators. Wish I knew where that link was.. I just read the article like 2 days ago...
