Corals are indeed funny like that. Right at this moment I have a garden of palys... maybe 30-40 polyps. 10 minutes ago they were ALL out and open just fine. Now maybe 5 of them (scattered around randomly) are closed up tight like they are DOA. I see this all the time with no changes in the tank. Sometimes they just get "lazy" and want to sleep for a while. I wouldn't sweat it unless it stays closed for a few days at a time. Then there's really nothing you can do about it. I've had individual ones "Expire" in a colony and that's just how it goes. I didn't remove anything or really give it much thought. It happens now and again.  |
