I just bought a huge piece of "purple brush" today. Very healthy with an overwhelming number of polyps. From what I have heard, they need med / high flow, and definitely need some sort of feeding since they are not photosynthetic . They give their hardiness only a 3 out of 10. I think they will do fine in my 12g along with all the feedings I do in there for my sun corals. I'll keep you posted on my end.
