I had also increased the flow from the tank to the sump/fuge by around 400 gph. I did that by switching to a LifeReef overflow box. I had added the emeralds about 3 days before that. A week later (literally) ALL of the bubble algae is gone. Along with a small growth of cyano behind the rocks. I didn't change the lighting periods either.
