Since so many people order equipment on-line, I find the LFS carrying less and less equipment. These things are generally cheaper on-line but it certainly would be nice if they kept them on hand for "emergencies". I had the same issue with bulbs for my Aquapod, but my LFS knows me well and ordered them immediately since he did not have them on hand. |

I posted my supposed "lighting emergency" on another thread on RS but I was assured that it wasn't really an emergency, just an inconveniece as my corals would make it for a few days. Still, being as anal as I am, I figured if I could find a way to get these bulbs ASAP without waiting a full week OR without spending a fortune for shipment (like the one place that wanted to charge me $50 AND I have to go THERE to get them AND it won't be until Monday) then I would rest easy. As you can see, the only way that was going to happen was going online.
