A few day ago I posted on the ratio of snails / hermits that is recommended for each gallon of water. Framerguy was nice enough to rely to that thread, stating that hermits possibly are NOT reef safe.

My question is this... In my 12g I have about 5 hermits. Sometimes I see one on my Crocea. Should I be worried? Should I remove them from the tank? What value, if any do hermits serve in my tank.... particularly a reef setup?
