also is that truely wear or some where the PVC material is being compressed more? Are there PVC shavings under that area? I can't see a SPF stud causing that to PVC pipe. I could be wrong but it just looks like compression more than actually eroding it.

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
