The type of rock depends on the type of aquascape you want. I personally dont like the regular fiji rock it is too plain for me. I really like the Kaelini rock. Lalo rock has cool shapes, as does Huni. For a 29 gallon nano you will need enough rock to create a visually pleasing display. Also take into consideration that the LR will be your main source of Bio-Filtration. So good quality LR is a must. In a nano tank you do not want too much rock, as you already have little water volume. The more LR you add the less water you can hold. Personally I think that around 30# will do the trick.
Also here in charlotte there is not a place that has good rock. I get all of mine off the net. Even with shipping I still save money.
