What do you have corals in the tank? and if so What kinds? You should always acclimate corals to new lighting or you may see bleaching receeding corals.. You can do this by cutting back on the hours the lights are on and slowly adding a little more time to the lighting over a few weeks time. Or you can raise the lights higher above the tank than normal and lowering them over a period of time(If the lights are gonna be hung). You may still see algae but it will dissapear over time... If it doesnt than you may have your lights on for to long during the day and the time may need to be adjusted.
