I'm not sure you need to go in the wet/dry direction, if you have enough live rock your biological filtration needs should be taken care of. How much LR do you have? Wet/dry usually means bio balls and most folks don't want them in their system. Just install a sump under the tank and loop it back to the DT with a sock attached to catch the big stuff. You could also have a fuge incorporated in the sump which would be a good addition. HTH.
