Re: Water movement

Good morning Barb

In all honesty instead of investing in wave makers and or timers I highly suggest getting a tank controller. I use Neptune Systems Aqua Controller and LOVE it. This one unit controls my lights (Daylight, Actinic, Moonlights, Fuge light), my heater, Temperature probe, PH probe, Fuge pump, and 2 in-tank power heads. I had timers on everything before and honestly once I got the kind I liked that were dependable I had just about as MUCH invested in them as this controller costs. And I can hook my laptop up and see what the status of my tank is at any time from anywhere. I've only scratched the surface.

Good luck and happy reefing

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!
