Can you put some sort of cabinet next to the stand to hide it all in? Something else you may consider, is slide the tank out from the wall, and build a wood or acrylic box on the back of the stand to house it. It will make it so you cannot push it flush against the wall, but it will provide the little "cord caddy" you would need!
