I know that you dont go by length. There are many different factors that one must consider when stocking a tank. Herbivores have a lighter load than carnivores. Fish that make many "small" poos pull less strain than fish that take a few "Large" poos. Also some fish need a very large territory, some verley venture from a small territory. Some fish are very long, but skinny. Some fish are short and fat. That alone throws off the inch to gallon rule off. I am just trying to get a general idea.

Maybe its not too late to tell jack I need a bigger tank. 8 BSJF....sounds good.
