doni, you opened a can of worms here, hehe. this story kinda sucks for me. i got my fish lic and went diving during openning week of lobster season. spent the day trying to catch lobsters and actualy got one. he was small but keepable

i got home and just finished rinsing my equipment. put it away and was going back out front to coil the hose up when there were people screeming. i looked out and there was a 12yr old kid lying in the street, obviously injured. i fig EMS would be there soon enough. looked a little closer, from across the street and noticed he was face down in a rapidly growing pool of blood. aaahhh i had to go help. went over and did a quick look, he was conscious but blood was spurting out. it was a hit and run the kid vs car. keeping his neck and back immobilized i turnned him over to find a deep lacerated wound on his face where a artery had been severed. no fliuds in the ears or anything like that. so i kept him immobilized and stopped the bleeding by the time EMS got there. when i tried to stand up i could not walk, my knee gave out and i blew my MCL. 2 months later after refusing to have surgery i am back on my feet but still can not go diving

the worst part is i know that kid went to the ER was watched overnight patched up and sent home with a big headache, me on the other hand, after a couple days i got my MRI results and was told i needed to have surgery. whats up with that!!! knowing the MCL is one of the ligaments that has a blood supply i knew it could heal. my orthopedic told me, he too thought it could heal if i could take the pain until it does, he still thought i would need surgery at some point. all is looking good now, i am thinking my knee will be strong enough so i might be able to go diving around X-mas time. so my new years resolution is to catch enough lobster to fill my biggest pot
bet you did not plan to hear a story like that, what a month i had. my knee thing, unloading my heavy 180gal 1/2" glass tank, current tank almost crashed. doing a water change is not so easy when you can not lift much. could not even drive anywhere. lookin foreword to the new year and of course i will be diving and playing with the all the fish in there homes
