Maybe an inch in the city of Chicago topped off my a nice layer of freezing rain. Made for a nice old fashioned ice storm. It wasnt too bad as i live near Lake Michigan and the lake is still warm enough to buffer the severity of this early winter snow. Away from the lake some expressways were shut down due to ice. Luckily it got warmer overnight and now it is just raining and the snow and ice is gone. |
