Add yours! | Re: c'mon.. what is the deal... There is nothing wrong with your polyps. Those are palyhtoas (forgive my spelling) and they collect tiny bit s of sand as they grow. i actually believe that this is one of the distinguishing features between them and zoas. If you check the "trunk" or stalk you should also notice the white specks there as well. So nothing to be alarmed about.
