November 2007 Re-cap
Because of a great idea by
AQTJAK, I began a monthly recap of my reef chronicle. I update my signature to bring you right to the latest recap to save you from having to read through many pages. If you’d like more information and LOTS of photos, feel free to start at the beginning. If you’ve been following along from the start, hopefully you’ll enjoy the update as well.
It was my luck to find RS when I decided to start a reef tank. With the coaching of these friendly reefers, I began the transformation you see here. There were a few bumps in the road, including a tank crash, a flood, two near electrocutions, and a zoanthid poisoning, but it has been worth every minute of it.

Livestock
My tank is primarily soft corals with a few large polyp stony (LPS) corals and two small polyp stony (SPS). My fish stocking plan has been modified quite a bit since I began my reef, but one thing has stayed consistent - I want a peaceful community of reef-safe fish with an emphasis on mobile invertebrates. I’ve attempted to adhere to the rule of 1” of fish per 5 gallons of water in order to maintain good water quality.
