Sorry Chris but that's not quite right. I had a few years ago a anemone tank. The nitrate level was always between 10-20. There is no Anemone died ..... See them here Death?



Current, salinity, PH, temperature and flow are the important factors, a somewhat elevated nitrate levels anemones survive without bigger problems. They have so Zooxanthellen and live not only by LIGHT, they need something nitrate. In the sea, it is usually below the detection limit of our measurement, but it is available.
