I will be moving my tank from the back of the house (former family room) to the front of the house (current family room). After I move the tank and have the plumbing and electrical situated I’m going to inform the wife (translated into “ask very nicely while saying please and her how pretty her eyes are) that the current family room will remain the family room when the tank gets there.

Long story short, the tank has been set up for about 2 years now.

What should I do about the 40 lbs of sand after I drain the tank and move it? Should I simply fill ‘er up and move on? I know there will be a lot of detrious that will be stirred up during the move and I’m wondering if that would cause a small cycle.
