As promised, here is the Chronicle of my sps tank.
My system consist of 3 tanks inner connected through a single sump.
The main tank is 210 gal all glass 72"x24"x30" tall
All of the filtration systems for this tank is located in the garage (this was the best thing that I've done for this set up since it made everything so much easier) I drilled through my flooring and plumb everything to the garage about 25' away. I will get to the filtration system latter.
The lighting for the system consist of 3 250 watt metal halide with Icecap ballasts luminarc III mini reflector and 2 VHO actinics by URI powered by Icecap ballast. I've tried all other combinations of lights but this is by far my favorit.
A controller (ACjr) is used to controll the lighitng, dawn to dusk, fans, pumps, chiller and heaters. moon lights is also simmulated according to my GPS location.
Water movement is provided by 2 tunze 6100 on tunze controllers and 2 sureflow maxijet mod kits that switches side after every 6 hours for high tide and low tide effect.
The hood and cabinet is custom made by me
mainly for easy access. I didn't get too fancy here because the main focus is the tank.
