The Sea Cucumber that I thought was dead last week has been tooling arouns the tank a bit and He spent the last 3 days on Mantis #2's Rock, near his burrow and rock opening. I thought that Maybe I should have moved the sea cuke but I left him be. This evening the cuke was on the sand, looking very skinny and not moving. I nudged him and he moved a bit. Several hours later he still had not moved. I looked at him more closely and there were two places that he had open wounds. Obviously Mantis #2 had a cucumber salad for lunch today. I immediately removed the cuke.
On a lighter note I had been wanting to get some lunar lights for this tank but I knew I could not put then too close to the 250W MH. Last week when I went to the Skokie LFS to get the salifert ammonia test as I was leaving I noticed a nano that had a light in the water in the tank. I came home and did some research and found the Hydor Aqua Color lights
HYDOR Each light has 4 blue LED lights. They are submergable and have a suction cup. My tank is acrylic and has an acrylic top with some large opening cut into it. I was able to attach these light to the top of the tank.
This morning on the reef
Dr Rice (Condy Anemone) has a great safe spot in the rock. Serpent Star and Sea Cucumber are nearby. Hermits and snails at work already
