I received 2 as part of my clean up crew. One has been pretty active and is on a rock. The third time I picked him up I noticed he has elongated and gotten soft and pliable. I put him down and he was moving. very slowly. So He is not dead. yet anyway. I will have to watch him closely. If he is dying I dont want him decaying up in the tank especiall right now when I am watching ammonia levels so closely twice a day.
So far ammonia is low .05
So if you know anything about cukes please share. |
I got two cukes with my package, one moved around from day one, the other didn't move for about 10 days, but now he is active too.
I also got a HH cucumber, he climbed up to the top of the tank on day one and stayed there for 3 months, never moved from that spot. He finally moved last week when the power went out for 15 hours and now he's got a new spot at the top. Look at the HH cucumber when the lights are out, sometimes I spot mine filter feeding - I try to target feed him some cyclopeez and phyto if I catch him doing this.
Beautiful tree sponges (
Ptilocaulis spp. I believe). Mine goes through phases where it is "open" for a few weeks and "closed" for a week or so. I thought it was dead the first time it did this, but it always comes back.
