hey all. just wanted get in and say hi. a littl background on what i have going and where i am looking. set up is a 75 gal FOWLR. I have about 110 lbs of rock. started with 70-75lbs of live and the rest base rock. fine/medium cruched coral base, a little under 4in. deep over an undergravel filter with a single 1200 maxijet powerhead. have a media filter for 50 gal tank and a remora protein skimmer. i also placed a small water pump on the backside of the rock to get waterflow behind the pile. lighting is a 4ft actinic flouresent. the tank has been going for a little over a yr. sand is full of activity, and am starting to get a good spread of coraline algea. live stock consists of a small humu trigger, small foxface lo, 3 damsels, about 5-6 tiny hermitcrabs and like 8 snails ranging from really small to frikin big. i wouold like to try my hand at coral. something easy to take care of, will get along with the fish i have, and will bring some color to the tank. |
