I'm not trying to argue as much as understand. Sunpaq bulbs claim to put out 95ish lumens per watt compared to metal halides average of 60-115 (more around 110ish). I'm running 80 watts at supposedly 90 (lets say) lumens per watt.

That's not as big of a difference supposedly as you guys lead on, misguided as it may be.

I have 6.6 watts per gallon (which is a useless measurement, i know) in a shallow tank with 95ish lumens per watt. To me that sounds like a hell of a lot of light and I wonder how it could get brighter without killing most of my coral that already appear to not like the lighting based on the bullseyes covering up and when moved to full shade open fully. I know on a large deep tank high powered metal halides would be needed, but you still think that I don't have enough light?
