I try to keep my tank at 77-78, but it fluctuates between 77-81 depending on how hot it is outside. I do have a Geotronic chiller, even it can't keep up with the heat wave we've been having in Virginia!

Although I agree that the cooler temperatures help to keep the parasites dormant, it's near impossible, without a decent sized chiller, to keep a 90 gallon tank at 77 or below.
