| Re: The Bluespot Club The Dark = Bad?
Yay, so one week into it, things still look good. In fact, when both jawfish are out of their containers, they don't fight each other like they did on day one.
But one thing I've come to observe, is that too much time with the lights off really stresses these guys. Whenever I would turn the lights off to let them sleep, I'd come back about 8 hours later, and one of the fish will look all beat up like he's been thrashing around.
So I did a little experiment and rather than completely turn off the lights, I dimmed it real low and moved it away. I did it just enough so that they could still see a bit, but dark enough that it looked like they could still get some sleep. Anyways, I come back a few hours later, and the fish seem a whole lot calmer.
Maybe if its dark for too long, they'll think their burrow has caved in, and its some sort of survival instinct to escape, so they thrash around. I haven't been doing it too long, but I'll continue testing it out the next few days. |
